More Electric Cars and Now Electric Trucks!

As we reach the end of 2022, we are seeing the next wave in the continuing Electric Vehicle (EV) revolution.

There are over 100 new EV models hitting showroom floors, with new cars and trucks are coming in all shapessizes, and price points.

Some of the most affordable electric vehicles that are coming in 2023 include the Hyundai IONIQ 6, Chevy Equinox EV (and the Blazer EV), Jeep Avenger, Chevy Silverado EV,
KIA EV9, Nissan Ariya, Subaru Solterra, KIA Niro EV, Volkswagen ID.4, Chevy Bolt EV and the Nissan Leaf.

As exciting is the advance of Long-Haul Class 8 Electric Trucks. Volvo, Freightliner, and Nikola all have Class 8 Electric Trucks on the road today. While they have limited range, they provide all-electric, emissions-free trips for massively lower fuel costs.

With many companies needing to move cargo between two locations (like a factory and delivery centers) the companies can have charging stations at each location to charge the trucks while they are loaded.

The Tesla Semi is long-overdue (it was supposed to be on the road in 2019). However, Tesla just announced that it completed a 500 mile trip on a single charge – with a truck weighing 81,000 pounds!

Since truck drivers need to take a mandatory break after about eight hours of driving, going 500 miles with a full load between charges is the sweet spot for a commercial long-haul semi-truck.

Emissions-free trucks that travel 500 miles on a single charge, with lower fuel & maintenance costs.

The future is NOW!
